“Infrastructure”
On Tuesday, the Senate voted to advance the trillion-dollar bipartisan infrastructure bill. Senators should have rejected the “bipartisan” bill, as this bill is not paid for, increases the deficit by more than a quarter trillion dollars, and is the first step in advancing a radical Leftist agenda.
While passage in the Senate is discouraging, the fight is far from over! Opportunities remain to make the bipartisan deal and reconciliation bills more difficult for moderates to support in the House, and further divide the Democratic caucus. The bipartisan bill may return to the Senate for a second vote as well.
We are grateful to the principled conservative legislators that stood up against this bill, and to our huge team of grassroots conservatives who continue to speak out against radical Leftist agendas. Sentinels are having a real impact, as we saw with two of the original negotiators, Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.) <[link removed]> and Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) <[link removed]>, reconsidering their positions, issuing statements, and voting against bringing the bill to a vote. Continuing the fight against CRT
Victories also abound as we continue to fight Critical Race Theory (CRT)! This past week was the first time that Senate Democrats had to go on the record for their stances on CRT - and all but one of them stood in support of the racist agenda. Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) forced a vote <[link removed]> on his amendment to prevent federal funds from being used to promote CRT in pre-K and K-12 schools. The amendment passed 50-49, with all Senate Republicans and Democrat Joe Manchin voting in favor, as the other 49 Senate Democrats voted against.
