Dear John,
DO YOU ENVISION A WORLD IN WHICH WOMEN ARE INTEGRAL TO PREVENTING SPECIES
EXTINCTION?
Our new Empower to Plan partner, Women for Conservation [3], is working
everyday to make this vision a reality by EMPOWERING RURAL WOMEN TO PROTECT
ENDANGERED SPECIES AND THEIR HABITATS. With your help, they can reach more
isolated communities in Colombia's cloud forests and tropical ecosystems -
some of the most biodiverse habitats on Earth.
Over 6 months, Women for Conservation will provide FAMILY PLANNING AND
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION TRAINING TO 100 WOMEN, empowering the next
generation of Colombian conservation leaders. In partnering with one of the
largest national sexual and reproductive healthcare organisations in the
country, they will also ensure VOLUNTARY ACCESS TO BIRTH CONTROL AND SEX
EDUCATION FOR 45 WOMEN, while raising awareness about the intersection of
family planning and nature conservation.
DONATE [3]
As extreme weather events increase with the worsening climate and
ecological crises, TAKING ACTION IS MORE URGENT THAN EVER. In Colombia,
deforestation, illegal mining and destructive agricultural practices
endanger the country's great biodiversity on a daily basis. However, by
supporting Women for Conservation's work to protect the environment and
promote gender equity, YOU CAN MAKE A DIRECT IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITIES ON
THE FRONTLINE OF FLORA AND FAUNA CONSERVATION.
With your support, rural women in the world's most vulnerable ecosystems
can live in harmony with the environment while becoming aware of their
sexuality and exercising their freedom of choice. PLEASE HELP WOMEN FOR
CONSERVATION TO ACHIEVE THEIR VISION - TOGETHER, WE CAN CREATE A WORLD IN
WHICH WOMEN ARE EMPOWERED TO PROTECT OUR PLANET AND ENSURE HEALTHY FUTURES
FOR US ALL.

“_With your support, we look forward to accomplishing community-driven
integrated conservation development programmes led by women, designed to
save habitat and endangered species while benefiting rural communities and
local indigenous populations. Engaging women in sustainable living, we seek
to highlight the interconnected concepts of biodiversity conservation,
family planning, and sustainable resource use._"
