The Senate this week passed, on a party-line vote, a massive $3.5 trillion spending plan. In 92 pages, the Democrats outlined their socialist agenda, including pushing the Green New Deal and reckless social spending programs. The Democrats see no problem with borrowing more money from China to unload trillions on a socialist agenda, much less burdening future generations with enormous debt. The Democrats don't even mind approving these massive spending bills without the support of a single Republican.
Inflation is on the rise, and this type of out-of-control spending will only make it worse. We have seen gas prices rise 41.8% in the last year, while electricity has risen 4%, and food prices are up 0.7% -- the biggest rate of increase since 1981. Inflation eats away at families' paychecks and their savings accounts, and the Democrats' spending will only make inflation worse. At the ACU, we are standing for fiscal responsibility, and we urge you to call your representatives to tell them to stop the spending craze.
