Hi John,
Well, here it is: July was the hottest month ever on Earth, in all of recorded history.
The New York Times also reported that over 1,000 people died during the late-June heatwave in the Pacific Northwest.
These were climate change deaths.
Unlike my opponent Derek Kilmer, I’m not a Chevron Democrat. I don’t take money from the oil companies destroying Earth, causing death, and robbing the future from young people. Since I don’t take dirty oil money, can you support me with a quick donation now?
When people are dying, incrementalism is not the solution. Moderation is not the “serious” approach, because no number of deaths is moderate or acceptable. Every death is a tragedy.
The serious approach is the one that saves lives: ending fossil fuel subsidies, banning new fossil fuel infrastructure, banning oil drilling on public land, and investing in renewable energy. All with a Green New Deal that creates millions of good-paying jobs.
The fact that this is considered “radical” or “far left” in this country is absurd. The majority of voters support these policies — it’s the corporate politicians who don’t.
I’m a working-class candidate running against a Chevron Democrat sitting on millions of dollars of corporate money, so I need your help. If you can, support me with a $7 donation here:
