It is now Day 32 of the Texas House Democrats’ dereliction of duty, and the clock is ticking. Their misadventures in D.C. have them running around with Pelosi and her radical Democrats. They are pushing for a federal takeover of our elections, all while holding our democracy hostage!
The Texas House’s inability to hold a quorum has not stopped the Texas Senate from doing the job you, the people of Texas, not D.C., elected us to do.
Among the important pieces of legislation that the Texas Senate passed this week is the Fair Sports for Women and Girls Bill. The Texas Senate has passed this bill three times now. This bill ensures that men and boys will not be allowed to compete against women and girls in individual and team sports or for sports scholarships.
It is not fair to allow boys to compete in girls’ sports. In Texas schools, the athletic statistics show the reality of sports competition — boys run faster, they throw farther, they jump higher. After decades of women fighting for equality in sports, allowing boys to compete against girls is a step backwards. Enough is enough.
By refusing to show up for work, Texas House Democrats are preventing the Fair Sports for Women and Girls Bill from being passed into law. Rest assured, the Texas Senate will continue to protect women and girls’ sports by passing this bill over and over again until the House finally has a quorum.
The Democrats have proven that they don’t care about showing up for their job. They are being funded by Beto and his liberal donors.
