We are still in the midst of one of the greatest public health emergencies of all time. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died, along with millions worldwide. Even though Covid-19 has taken so much from all of us, we now have a weapon to fight back.

The vaccine has proven to be a safe and comprehensive protection from Covid-19, and we can beat back the coronavirus by playing our part and getting vaccinated.

We should be making it easy for everyone to get vaccinated, which is why I hosted a Shots At The Shop event, so my constituents have free access to the lifesaving vaccines at a local barbershop.

It’s always a pleasure to be able to speak with my constituents and hear from them, but it’s extra special to be able to bring life-saving vaccines to help them as well.

We all have to work together to beat this pandemic. Talking to our family and friends, dispelling any myths about the vaccine, and encouraging them to protect themselves and others will have a positive impact.

And most importantly: Don’t wait, vaccinate.
