Friend,
There has been a major new development.
I recently heard closed-door testimony from Jeff Rosen, the acting attorney general during Donald Trump's final weeks in office.
The details that Rosen revealed to the Senate Judiciary Committee about Trump's attempts to use the power of the presidency to overturn the 2020 election were simply chilling.
What's clearer than ever: In his frenzied final weeks in office, Trump brought our country – our system of free and fair elections, the very foundation of our democracy – dangerously close to total catastrophe. Only the character and resilience of a handful of individuals saved us from going over the precipice as a nation.
Donald Trump mounted a pressure campaign that was absolutely relentless, brutal, and directly aimed at the Department of Justice – seeking to weaponize it for his own political benefit – with intent to overthrow the election.
And as a former U.S. Attorney and a state attorney general for 20 years, I know there is a real potential for criminal charges. The facts must be gathered and all options should be seriously considered.
Our committee intends to hear from more key witnesses in the coming weeks to reveal the full extent of Trump's wrongdoing. But as right-wing attempts to derail our committee and cover up Trump's crimes ramp up, I need to know you're with me in our fight to get the facts and hold Trump accountable. Please, click the link to let me know where you stand now:
Should criminal charges be considered for Donald Trump's attempts to abuse the power of his office and overturn the 2020 election?

These latest revelations demonstrate that we must continue investigating the former president and his acolytes -- holding them accountable for the grave damages he attempted to inflict on our democratic institutions. It's incumbent upon all of us to speak out. I appreciate you raising your voice alongside mine.
Dick
