The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
This House remained out of session this week and watched from afar as the Senate passed a massive “infrastructure” package and a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill. The House will return to session to vote on these proposals in a couple weeks. In the meantime, I’ve been back in the district meeting constituents and local businesses leaders, keeping a finger on the pulse of how to best represent them in Congress. Read below to learn about the important happenings of the week:
Articles of Impeach Against DHS Sec. Mayorkas
The border crisis has descended into pure chaos under the weak leadership of Joe Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Every month since President Biden took office, apprehensions at the border have increased and Secretary Mayorkas has done nothing to stem the tide. He has abandoned border security and immigration law enforcement. We cannot allow our communities to suffer any longer, which is why I introduced Articles of Impeachment for Secretary Mayorkas. Interview on OANN’s Real America w/ Dan Ball
I joined Dan Ball on the One America News Network to share why I introduced Articles of Impeachment for Secretary Mayorkas and the hypocrisy of Former President Obama having a “superspreader” birthday bash. Click on the photo below to watch:
Concerned Veterans for America Townhall
On Thursday, I joined Concerned Veterans for America’s townhall to answer the community’s questions regarding veterans issues. Countless veterans in Arizona have selflessly served the United States of America. Some of these men and women volunteered, others were drafted, but they all served under the same flag, for the same values, and for the same common goal of defending our individual liberties. It was my honor to share different policies that support these brave men and women and to give insight on how we can better provide for their needs. Everyday I am grateful for our veterans and never forget the sacrifices they have made. Click the photo below to watch:
Interview on OANN’s The Real Story w/ Natalie Hart
A few months ago, President Biden halted construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, killing thousands of jobs and damaging America’s independence. Now he’s begging the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to pump more oil because prices have gone up here in the United States. I joined Natalie Harp to discuss. Arizona Bankers Roundtable
Economic uncertainty is high right now with rising inflation, remerging COVID-19 mandates, and a litany of anti-business policy coming out of Washington. It was a pleasure sitting down with the Arizona Bankers Roundtable to talk about issues impacting lenders and financial institutions. Check out the photo below:
Interview on Newsmax on Spicer & Co.
I joined my friend Sean Spicer on Newsmax to discuss my support for impeaching Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Click on the photo to watch:
Interview on Fox News on the Faulkner Focus
Harris Faulkner has kept her thumb on the pulse of Biden’s border crisis throughout its entirety. I joined her today to provide the latest on this humanitarian catastrophe and why I introduced Articles of Impeachment for Secretary Mayorkas. Click on the photo below to watch:
Final Thoughts: Reckless Reconciliation, Really
Despite soaring inflation due to trillions in reckless spending, the Democrats are pushing another round of debt-financed legislation that will make matters worse. While the infrastructure bill passed by the Senate is bad, the reconciliation package being crafted by Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Bernie Sanders is even worse. If the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation passes, it will constitute one of the largest government expansions in our nation’s history to fund a laundry list of socialist policies. Fingers crossed that Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin, the only Democrats with any sense of reality left in the Senate, will hold tight against mounting pressure from the far-Left wing of their party.
