Friend,

This week, two major things have happened:

  • First: On Monday, the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a new report on how human activity has damaged the planet. It’s an unmistakable wake-up call to Congress that it can’t wait any longer to pass bold climate action.
  • Then: On Tuesday, the Senate passed a budget proposal that sets the table for legislation that makes huge investments to combat the climate crisis—including many of the most essential policies we’ve been fighting for from day one.

Now, it’s on the House to pass the budget resolution with these climate investments intact. Will you demand action with us today?

Sign on to tell House Democrats that now is the time to pass bold climate policies, especially if we want to avert the climate predictions just put forth by the IPCC. They can do it by passing the Senate’s $3.5 trillion budget proposal, and they must.

If you’re freaked out by the new IPCC climate report, we don’t blame you. We are, too. But we’re not helpless, and things are not hopeless. We have a climate president in the White House. We’ve got a movement of millions working alongside us. And we’re closer than ever to winning transformative climate legislation that will accelerate the transition to clean energy and make historic investments in environmental justice.

Whether you’ve been raising your voice for bold climate action for weeks, months, or years, this is the worst possible time to let up. The need for bold climate action has never been clearer—and the momentum has never been higher—so let’s double down right now.

Sign on to tell House Democrats to pass the budget proposal, including the bold climate investments put forth by the Senate, and not to wait another moment!

Thanks for helping us see this fight through—we’re getting closer!

With gratitude,

Sam Ricketts
Co-Director, Evergreen Action
