Today we are officially opening the polls for our 2021 Run for Something Alumni Awards, and we're looking to YOU to help choose the winners of our two big awards -- the Getting It Done and I AM History.
From August 13th - August 20th, every member of the Run for Something community has the chance to vote for their favorite elected official. On the 25th, we'll announce the winners and give you an opportunity to join them in-person or virtually at our 2nd Run for Something Alumni Awards event this September.

Our alumni have made
serious progress this year. They busted their butts to win power for their community, and now they are delivering on the issues that matter to them and their neighbors.
But that's exactly what's making it
so hard to determine this year's winners.
So, we're reaching out to you, John -- we need your input!
Here are the final two categories to decide:
Getting It Done Award
Honoring an outstanding RFS alum from 2017-2020 who has made a major impact fighting for progressive values and policies in their state or community since their election. This category is open to elected officials. Supporting young, progressive candidates for state and local office isn't just about building a bench of future congresspeople and governors -- our candidates are making an impact on people's lives right now as state legislators, mayors, councilmembers, clerks, and community leaders.
I AM History Award
Honoring a history-making RFS alum from 2017-2020, whose candidacy broke barriers for members of their community who didn't feel represented in elected office. Representation matters and our candidates are changing the conversation around what a “typical” politician looks like.
You can vote RIGHT NOW at our website -- don't wait until the last minute, John. We'd hate to have to GOTV our own people 😉
