August of an off-year might not seem like an urgent time to fundraise. In fact, a lot of people just assume that it's a slow month with little importance.

Now, here's why these fundraising goals are so important. Working families are struggling in the wake of the economic uncertainty caused by this pandemic, and they need help now. We must move faster to close the wage gap, address the pay inequities with universal child care, and guarantee paid leave for all.

After a devastating drought and heat waves buckled our roads this summer, it's never been more clear that we need to invest in and improve our infrastructure and take action against the enormous threat of climate change. That means moving towards a green economy and a carbon-free electricity grid as soon as possible.

But if we fall short of our fundraising goals we're not going to make progress on any of these critical issues. John, will you chip in $3 or more now to help strengthen our re-election campaign and keep this seat and the House majority in 2022?
