There are only a few short days left? ? ? ? CLEAN WATER ACT AT RISK:

Trump's EPA is attacking our most essential clean water safeguards. Will you add your name and fight against this blatant attack on our clean water? ? SIGN NOW [link removed] ? ? ? ? ? COMMENT DEADLINE 10/21: The Trump administration is gutting states' ability to protect their waterways ? which would mean more pollution in our drinking water. Submit a public comment now to protect our clean water and states' rights ? [link removed]

This is terrible, friend ? Trump is taking yet another stab at destroying the Clean Water Act.

Clean water is a basic human right, but Trump and EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler are moving to gut the Clean Water Act by limiting states' and tribal communities' authority to protect their drinking water from projects that would destroy or pollute their waterways.

If Trump and Wheeler have their way, states and tribes will lose their ability to evaluate the impacts of federally-licensed projects ? like oil and gas pipelines and dams ? and limit or stop those that would have a negative impact on water quality. This attack on the Clean Water Act comes at the request of Trump's polluter buddies in the oil and gas industry. This attack on the Clean Water Act could pollute the water that comes from OUR taps, and we can't afford to stay silent.

That's why we need LCV suppoprters like you to speak out in opposition of this attack and advocate for clean water for all. The EPA is accepting public input on this dangerous rollback but only until October 21st, and it's critical that the public record reflects the voice of the people, not polluters. We're building a movement to submit 15,000 comments to the EPA ? can we count on you to add your name now?

CRITICAL TIME TO ACT: Our water is under attack. Speak out TODAY to protect clean water for ALL families. GOAL: 15,000 ? [link removed]

Restricting how states and tribes review complex projects that can harm water quality only benefits corporate polluters ? while risking the health of our families and seeking to fast-track dirty energy infrastructure projects. Our drinking water and the lakes, rivers, and wetlands that our families rely on will be at risk if Trump's EPA moves forward with their pro-polluter plan. This means that states across the country could have more Big Polluters dumping toxic materials into their water ? without having any authority to stop them.

This toxic pollution won't impact all communities in the same way: Tribal communities, communities of color, and low-income communities already disproportionately suffer from pollution and contaminated drinking water. Trump and Wheeler's rollback will exacerbate these existing inequalities as polluters' will be able to get away with damaging and destroying our water without proper oversight from state governments. We cannot let these injustices stand.

From Alabama to Michigan to Washington, our small-business economy depends on access to clean, safe water. Investing in stronger protections for clean water means investing in more robust economic growth, more jobs, and more sustainable communities. Protecting clean water now is key to building a stronger tomorrow.

Public comment periods like this are some of our best opportunities to fight back against the Trump administration's dangerous rollbacks. If we don't act right now, there will be no stopping the Trump administration from allowing polluters to destroy our waters at the expense of the health of our children, the communities most impacted by water pollution, and small businesses everywhere. Will you act now to protect the Clean Water Act?

DEADLINE 10/21: We need to build a movement of 15,000 people demanding that ALL communities have access to clean, safe water ? [link removed]
