The Supreme Court is set to hear Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization next term, a blockbuster case from Mississippi that’s part of a continued, coordinated, nationwide push to chip away at Roe v. Wade and ultimately see it overturned.
A decision from the Court that infringes on abortion rights would be further evidence that the Court is wildly out of step with the people over whom it is supposed to preside.
But it wouldn’t be the first time they tried to take away the right to abortion. Three conservative justices have already tried to overturn Roe v. Wade -- and they have since been joined by three Trump-appointed justices with staunchly anti-choice records!
To preserve our reproductive freedom, and ensure next term’s blockbuster abortion case protects abortion rights, we must add seats to the Supreme Court. This would ensure the Court is balanced out with justices who respect precedent and our basic constitutional rights.
