You might have noticed that your favorite twitter bot got a 2021 makeover.
The former CARES bot has been ~rebranded~ as the @ExpandCTCbot ([link removed]) , sharing stories from ordinary Americans all over the nation on how the expanded Child Tax Credit is helping them and their families. It’s part of our project Fighting Chance for Families ([link removed]) — a collaboration between Data for Progress and Groundwork Collaborative to pressure lawmakers to make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent.

Hey Senator Tester! Montana Voters Support the Clean Electricity Standard
Montana will be a key state for Democrats in upcoming Senate elections — and our latest polling shows that voters in the state support progressive clean energy investments. Our survey with Montana Conservation Voters finds that a +16-point margin of Montana voters, including a majority of Independents and more than 30 percent of Republicans, support a clean electricity standard. Tax the Global Rich
The threat of corporations moving their headquarters overseas in response to America asking them to pay their fair share of taxes is well-worn. But what if it didn’t have to be this way? By instituting a Global Minimum Tax — where as many nations as possible would agree to one standard corporate tax rate — we can prevent huge corporations who’ve benefited from American ingenuity and resources from weaseling their way out of their responsibility to pay taxes.
Voters across the partisan spectrum concur: in new Data for Progress polling, we find that 70 percent of voters support a Global Minimum Tax — including 81 percent of Democrats, 72 percent of Independents, and 56 percent of Republicans.

Funding Pandemic Preparedness is just Common Sense — and is Overwhelmingly Popular
Rep. Ritchie Torres joined the blog this week to explain ([link removed]) why it’s so crucial for Congress to apportion a full $30 billion in funds for pandemic preparedness. Unsurprisingly, pandemic preparedness is extremely popular — Data for Progress polling conducted with Guarding Against Pandemics finds that 71 percent of voters support the investments that Rep. Torres is calling for. Read his full blog here ([link removed]) .
Earth to Congress: The People Are For The For The People Act
New polling by Data for Progress and Equal Citizens finds that voters don’t just support the For The People Act to protect voting rights, reform campaign finance, and stop gerrymandering — they want President Biden to pitch in and help get it passed.
Our polling finds that by a +32-point margin, voters would be more supportive of President Biden if he were to take a more active role in pushing the For the People Act past the Congressional finish line. Read about the poll and other findings on the For the People Act here ([link removed]) .
