Dear Friend --

I hope you are enjoying watching all of the American atheletes compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics as much as I am! These games are an incredible opportunity to bring together people from across the globe, and celebrate our common humanity through sport. 

That is why I cannot accept the International Olympic Committee's decision to have the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. 

We know the Chinese government is committing genocide against the Uyghur people, including forced internment, re-education, and physical and psychological torture. Allowing them to host the Olympics again sends the message that these crimes against humanity are accepted by the international community - they are NOT. 

I have always stood up for human rights at home and abroad, and now I am asking you to join me in signing this petition to tell the International Olympic Committee: Relocate the 2022 Winter Games from Beijing.
