Today is International Youth Day — a moment to celebrate and amplify the voices, actions and initiatives of young people around the world.
This year’s theme is “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health.” As a member of the UNICEF USA community, you know that some of our life-changing programs intersect with this theme, including combating malnutrition, responding to climate crises and supporting children caught in conflict and violence. Children aren’t just benefitting from this work, they’re driving it.
UNICEF UNITE and its youth-led Clubs play a key role in this collective action. UNITERs are grassroots advocates here in the U.S. who fight for meaningful change to improve the lives of children in need. To celebrate International Youth Day, take a moment to learn more about UNITE and meet some UNITERs!
