This was the first time that Senate Democrats have been forced to go on the record on CRT—and all but one of them stood with the radical Left to support indoctrinating children as young as 3 years old with CRT. The amendment passed 50-49, with all Senate Republicans and Democrat Joe Manchin voting in favor, while the other 49 Senate Democrats voted against the measure.
None of this would have been possible without grassroots conservatives creating a nationwide movement against CRT. Additionally, we should be grateful for principled conservatives, such as Senator Cotton, for taking a stand in the Senate.
There is still more work to be done, but now, every American knows exactly where Senate Democrats stand on CRT. While Democrats may find a way to ignore this language, this is an important first step and signals to voters that only by electing Conservatives will we be able to stop indoctrination and reject CRT.
>>> We urge you to call Senator Cotton and thank him for his incredible leadership in the fight against CRT. Additionally, if your Senators voted for the amendment, thank them too.
Contact Senator Cotton and say “thank you:”
- Email him with the contact form on his website
- Call his D.C. office at (202) 224-2353
This isn’t the first time that Senator Cotton has been a leader in the fight against CRT, as he has introduced standalone bills to ban CRT both in our schools and in the military. There are additional anti-CRT bills worthy of support, that we make mention of in our “Reject CRT toolkit.”
It’s important we do all we can to keep CRT out of our military, schools, and government agencies. And we should fight this battle at every level—federal, state, and local.
