It's all looking good for the Nottingham team - Trent Rockets in this brand new competition. The men's side is sitting pretty for the next stages of The Hundred at third place in the table with two big home fixtures to finish this weekend. Today's match against second placed Birmingham Phoenix will be a real nail-biter.
The women's team is also going really well and could qualify for the next stage.
There are still a few tickets available if you want to go and cheer them on. Don't forget that alongside the amazing cricket action, there is live music thrown in.

Nottingham Craft Beer Festival is back at Sneinton Market!
A limited amount of further tickets for this year's event have been released so snap them up quickly!
As well as loads of different beers to try, the block-party will be bursting with music and quality street food .
The team will once again be operating a fully cashless site, so make sure you bring your credit, debit card or other payment device!
The week starts this Sunday (15 August) with Battle of the Breweries at the Canal House: This is the launch of a new international card game based on craft beer breweries. If you are good at it (or just lucky) you might even progress to the finals and win a bag full of Battle of the Breweries and NCBW goodies. Ticket price includes a free beer and some freebies.

Legendary folk artist Richard Thompson first gained prominence as the lead guitarist and songwriter for folk rock pioneers Fairport Convention. With a career spanning decades, Thompson now counts an Ivor Novello Award, Grammy nomination and a spot on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” amongst his many accolades.
His evocative songwriting, jawdropping guitar playing, and indefinable spirit has inspired everyone from Elvis Costello to REM & David Byrne.

Victoria Embankment Bandstand
This week's Band in the Park is Newark Town Band. The performance starts at 2pm.
Newark's present day brass band was formed more than 60 years ago in 1956, and became one of the town's most successful competition bands in the Sixties and Seventies.
Today, Newark Town Band is once again thriving with over 30 members on the books.
Apologies to those who visited the park last week to see the Maltby Miners Welfare Band. This concert was cancelled at short notice due to weather concerns and it is hoped the date will be rescheduled.

Nick will take you back to the summer of 1921 when he lived next door to none other than the mysterious party-throwing Jay Gatsby.
Nick finds out that Gatsby and his cousin Daisy used to be an item. Gatsby is still in love with Daisy, but Daisy is now married to the pretentious and unfaithful Tom…
So get your glad rags on (while still dressing for the outdoors of course!), bring a picnic and a blanket, and enjoy some local refreshments – now that prohibition is lifted!

Mon 30 August: The Puppet Van – The Lost Colour - Join Malcolm Brushell, professional painter and amateur alchemist, on his quest to find the pinky-est pink paint on the planet! Through cracking rocks, mashing every conceivable vegetable, and even bottling and fermenting his own cow’s wee, he has created every colour imaginable... This is a Pay What You Can performance.

Why not try the spotters trail? This trail starts by the classroom. Activity packs are available to purchase from the Visitor Centre during opening times and cost just £3.50.
Spot the signs and see what creatures you can find! Join in for a family day out with a difference. With the amazing new Gruffalo Spotter 2 app, fun activity pack and trail, you’ll get to interact with all your favourite characters as you go in search of the Gruffalo in the deep dark wood.
Or perhaps enjoy a fun, navigational challenge at Sherwood Pines by following the easy to read orienteering map and finding twelve Gruffalo markers hidden in the deep, dark wood.
Before you begin, head to the Visitor Centre to pick up a Gruffalo orienteering leaflet with a certificate and map for just £1.50.
