Join the San Francisco Renters Alliance for a panel discussion with tenant advocates and community leaders on COVID-19 eviction protections and rent relief financial assistance. For renters, learn about your resources and your rights.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the housing market in San Francisco as we know it, leaving a long list of uncertainties for renters in the City today. While San Francisco is working to reopen and build a new normal for our community, many renters continue to face the burden of preexisting rental prices at above-market rates and the threat of displacement based on their ability to make on-time rental payments in full after over a year of increased unemployment and financial hardship citywide.

That’s why tenant advocates and community leaders throughout the City are coming together to ensure every renter knows their rights and has access to the resources they need in order to keep families and workers in San Francisco.

Senators Brian Schatz (D-HI) and Mike Braun (R-IN) introduced the Build More Housing Near Transit Act (HR 2483) in the Senate. It would mean that federal transit investments would be awarded partly based on how much communities plan to expand housing supply near transit stations.

They are hoping to get this bill passed in the Senate this fall. Write your Senators using our emailer to let them know that housing near transit is a climate solution!
