We just joined with a handful of our partner organizations and members of Rep. John Lewis’s family to deliver 400,000 petition signatures to the White House, calling on President Biden to go all-in on the fight for voting rights – including pushing forcefully for filibuster reform.
We’re seeing signs of progress on the For the People Act in the Senate – which means that our pressure is working! But what might be the make-or-break factor in the Senate for this historic and desperately needed bill is how much the president will use his bully pulpit and the leverage of his office to help us move senators, especially on the filibuster.
So we’re ramping up our efforts targeting the White House big time over the next few weeks, even while we continue to organize grassroots pressure on senators, with events in DC to complement our ongoing work around the country, online, and in the news media.

That’s how high the stakes are.

The Far Right wants to cement its grip on power – despite having the support of far fewer voters. And if we can’t get the bills through Congress to thwart their voter suppression, their gerrymandering, their Big Money, and their Supreme Court majority’s dangerous anti-democracy decisions, they will succeed.
