I’m not afraid to stand up to President Trump.

John -- this is a critical moment in our country’s history, and we must stand up and do the right thing.

The times have found us now, too. We have to defend our Constitution. We owe it to previous generations of Americans who fought to defend our democracy and to future generations that are counting on us.

Unfortunately, my Republican colleagues have not heeded this call.

Instead of standing on the right side of history, they have chosen to stand with Trump -- no matter how egregious his actions are.
