Team,
The Senate has finally passed the bipartisan infrastructure bill.
This was a huge step toward building the infrastructure this country needs — from fixing roads and bridges to creating good-paying union jobs.
But let’s be clear: It’s not enough.
We need a big, bold plan to tackle the climate crisis, fund childcare, and expand healthcare in this country. That’s why I and the Progressive Caucus are calling for Democrats to fulfill our promise and bring out our bold budget package at the same time as the bipartisan package.
It’s my job to follow through on my promises to the people counting on big, bold solutions — especially at a time when so many families are struggling to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. And future generations will continue to face rising temperatures, flooding, and storm damage if we don’t take bold action on the climate crisis.
Congress must meet the moment we’re in. That means investing in physical infrastructure, caregiving, housing, and workforce development, and taking urgent action to address climate change — all while making sure corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes.
If you agree, will you chip in any amount you can to power our work for progress?

We can’t abandon the millions of people counting on bold, transformative change — lives and livelihoods are on the line.
I will never stop fighting to put the interests of the people first. But I don’t take a penny from corporate PACs hell-bent on stopping bold, transformative legislation, so I’m counting on this grassroots team to ensure I can stay focused on the tough fights ahead.
Thanks for being part of it.
In solidarity,
—Ilhan Omar
