The Kurds stood with us when we needed them most. Now, with the U.S. government stepping aside as Turkish forces sweep into Northern Syria and – just today – endorsing President Erdogan’s plan for a 20-mile retreat by Kurdish fighters from the border, it is our turn to stand with them.

We cannot remain silent in the Kurdish people's hour of need.
