Hey there,
Earlier this year, Daily Wire announced a movie deal with Gina Carano, former actress on The Mandalorian. Our deal was prompted when Gina was canceled by Disney for daring to criticize the tyranny of the woke Hollywood mob. And we wanted to help her fight back. Within hours of us making the announcement, the news went viral. From USA Today to the LA Times, headline after headline documented Gina's rejection of cancel culture.
Because that's exactly what this is. It's more than a statement. It's a fight back against the totalitarian mob and the leftist narrative that has dominated for so long. In Gina's own words, "They can't cancel us if we don't let them." And we won't.
That's one of the reasons we entered into the entertainment space. And today, after we've been working behind the scenes for the past few months, we're excited to share some details.
Gina has teamed up with The Daily Wire to produce and star in an action thriller written by Eric Red, based on his novel White Knuckle.
This film is sure to be as powerful as Gina herself.
In the untitled action film, Carano will play a strong-willed heroine who survives an attempt on her life by a serial killer-trucker called ‘White Knuckle.’ Motivated by her encounter and willingness to take matters into her own hands, she teams up with a long-haul truck driver who helps her track down this infamous serial-killer who’s on the road — and moving fast.
In the vein of Duel, Breakdown, and True Grit, the film will be shot in the green and mountainous worlds of Tennessee, Utah, and Montana this fall, and is scheduled to be released early next year.
We’re so excited to be working on a project of this caliber with a star who is an example of fortitude in the face of adversity, and cannot wait to show you the finished product.
And that’s not all. Our team at The Daily Wire is hard at work on even more cancel-proof content that you don’t have to be woke to enjoy.
Stay tuned, more details coming your way this month.
Thanks for being here,
