The head of the Oklahoma Republican Party has slipped into a surreal world of chaos, confusion, and conspiracy. He released a new video in which he begins by saying “Hello, patriots.” We all know that “patriots” has come to mean white supremacists and the people who threaten to overthrow our government.

He spouts lie after lie about our President, all the while not recognizing President Biden as the properly elected leader of the free world. He says, “Former Vice President Biden is the greatest single spreader and importer of the [COVID19] virus in the US and…the world.” As if this wasn’t enough lunacy for one video, he goes on to say that it is, “Only a matter of time before you won’t be able to do anything without the permission of communist government.”

We could shrug this off if it weren’t so terrifying. He claims that in Oklahoma, “Parents are in charge of what’s best for our children…refuse to be locked down…will not be forced to take a vaccine.” Sadly, he is evidently too ignorant to know that in our state children entering kindergarten MUST prove they have been vaccinated for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps, chickenpox, hepatitis A and hepatitis B.

Even worse, though, is the power this man holds over his party. He is seeking candidates that are even more extreme than Stitt and Langford, two elected officials who demonstrate weekly their total disregard for Oklahomans and our lives. Walking in the footsteps of a disgraced Florida retiree, he is looking to impose his twisted sense of “patriotism” on each of us.

We must stop this insanity in its tracks.

Your Democratic Party leaders are meeting with potential candidates for every position in our government. But we must have the funds to support these candidates. We must stop the Republicans from further killing our state.
