Why does it take so long for anything to get done in Washington?
Where are our leaders?
I knew I'd have a tough fight when I became Governor of Maryland. We ranked near the bottom in almost every category. I also knew that Marylanders elected me to grow our economy, enhance their quality of life and keep them safe.
I took on those challenges. I worked across the aisle. And I never submitted to scoring cheap political points because that simply doesn't work. We need more of this across our country!
Independent studies have consistently found Maryland's COVID leadership was among the best in the country! That's because we were STRONG in the face of the loudest voices from both sides.
It is time to get TOUGH.
Being a strong leader means listening to the people above all of the noise.
We need ADULTS in the room to solve emergency issues like rising inflation, severely-lacking education and unsafe streets.
