# [#]FIRST: in March, the NCAA hosted its annual College Basketball Tournament and was deservedly criticized for the obvious disparities in accommodations between the male and female players.

THEN: the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team lost their court case regarding gender-based pay disparities against the players and are appealing the ruling.

NOW: Anna and her House colleagues are urging the NCAA to release publicly and share with Congress the complete findings of their external review of gender equity issues, and she joined an amicus brief in support of the soccer team’s appeal.

John,

In college basketball, from the workout rooms to the welcome package, food options, and COVID-19 tests, it was made abundantly clear that the men’s teams were provided amenities far beyond those provided to the women players.

With four World Cup titles and four Olympic gold medals, the USWNT is highly accomplished, yet paid considerably less than the men’s team.

Both of these are unacceptable. We must do more to support women athletes — add your name if you agree >> [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

Thanks,

Team Anna
