Just this morning 400,000 petition signatures were delivered directly to the White House calling on President Biden to take action to save our democracy!

You can still add your voice: Tell President Biden to do whatever it takes to pass S1, the For the People Act. We need Biden to take action now to protect voting rights, end gerrymandering, and stop toxic big money interests from corrupting our democracy.

It is critical that President Biden use the full power of his office to pass the For the People Act. Just today, the Census released data that extremist Republicans are openly planning to use to silence voters by drawing gerrymandered districts. And in the Senate, Republicans are using the threat of the filibuster to block any attempt to protect voting rights.

This has to stop. President Biden should forcefully speak out and pressure Senators to do whatever it takes to pass reform. Biden needs to publicly call on Senators to take action, demand an end to the filibuster, and speak out on the critical importance of passing reform.

In fact, when Republicans blocked debate on the For the People Act in June, President Biden released a powerful statement: “In supporting the For the People Act and defending the rights of voters, [Democrats in Congress] stood united for democracy. They stood against the ongoing assault of voter suppression that represents a Jim Crow era in the 21st Century.”

But since then, Biden’s White House has told activists they should just ‘out-organize’ Republican attempts to suppress the vote. What!? Biden should be leading the charge to STOP voter suppression and gerrymandering before they begin, NOT conceding defeat and asking for the impossible.
