John,
This past week, Cori and the team have been back in St. Louis. The love has been overwhelming.
We recently stopped by at a community vaccination event to meet with our neighbors. So many of you came up to Cori to thank her for sleeping on the steps of the Capitol for five days and organizing a bold mobilization to get the Biden administration to extend the eviction moratorium.
Our community knows there was no way we were going to let 8,700 of our neighbors — and millions more across our country — be put out of their homes during this pandemic. Thank you St. Louis and everyone who gave their support for Cori. It is because we joined together and accepted Cori’s invitation to step into our people power that this victory became possible.
This week, our team also joined Cori and community members at gatherings to remember Mike Brown Jr. Seven years on, we have not stopped thinking of him, of his family, and of the need for justice.
We love you, Mike Brown Jr. We will never forget you. And in your honor we bring our struggle for justice from the frontlines of Ferguson to the Halls of Congress.
Cori being home in St. Louis has energized our team and reminded us once again that our power comes from people like you, John. When we raise our voices together, we have the power to demand the change our communities deserve.
That’s why today we want to ask you a favor. If you’re excited to see Cori take on more bold actions in Congress, will you chip in $5 or anything you can to power our organizing and legislating efforts? We rely on grassroots donations from emails like this to fund our work.
Chip in $5
Together,
Team Cori
