John,
Like so many Montanans, I enjoy taking advantage of our public lands, whether it's going for hikes on weekends or taking my dog on nightly walks along the Yellowstone River.
Montana is blessed with gorgeous landscapes that fuel our outdoor recreation economy. People across the country and all over the world travel here to marvel at our forests, mountains, and rivers.
Of course, private interests like mining and fossil fuel companies have been trying to get their hands on our valuable public lands for decades, and under the Trump Administration, former Secretary of the Interior and my opponent, Ryan Zinke, conducted “the largest sell-off of public lands and oceans in American history” according to the National Resources Defense Council.
Selling off our public lands to states and private interests further fuels the climate crisis and takes these beloved outdoor spaces away from Montanans. As your Representative in Congress, I won’t ever let that happen.
I firmly believe we must keep public lands in public hands. If you’re with me, add your name alongside mine to support the preservation of Montana’s public lands today >>
Together, we can protect Montana’s public lands for present and future generations.
Thanks for standing with me,
Laurie
