Divesting from school policing and investing in sex education? We have a plan for that.

Join us this Thursday, August 12th at 11am EST as we team up with Miami-based Power U Center for Social Change to launch our new Divest/Invest toolkit! Attendees will learn how to organize for your school district to divest from policing and invest in sex education, nurses, counselors, and the education students need and deserve in schools.

And we want you to have a first look at it.

Our work at Advocates for Youth invests in the wellbeing of young people, not a school to prison pipeline. Police in schools funnel young people of color into the prison system through punitive disciplinary practices. We know that money can be better spent on student’s actual healthcare needs, but school districts won’t do it unless the people demand it.
