John,

In a few days, families across the nation will be receiving their second Child Tax Credit payments -- direct payments to pay for things like food, health care, child care, and more.

This policy supports around 39 million hardworking American families. It will lift 6,700 children out of poverty in our district alone.

And zero Republicans voted for it.

We have our Democratic majorities in Congress to thank for passing this legislation that will directly support millions of children and families at a time when they need help the most.

But our majorities are razor thin, and my seat is one of the most vulnerable in the nation. So, I’m emailing today to ask you: Will you chip in $25 to help me hold this seat AND our Democratic House Majority?

Republicans claim to be the party of the working class, but every Republican in Congress voted against expanding the Child Tax Credit. If they were really pro-working families, they would’ve voted in favor of the policy that stands to cut the poverty rate by 40% and benefits nearly 90% of all children in the United States.

John, this is the kind of legislation that we can pass when we elect representatives that put people first, but Republicans only need to gain 5 seats to take back the House. Please, if you’re able, chip in today to help me defend this battleground seat.
