Hey fam,
Our homes and communities have already been impacted by climate disasters. We’re suffering through a climate disaster. Wildfires are so big and intense that they darken skies thousands of miles away. Heat waves are so destructive that they are literally melting infrastructure.
After a year and a half of some of the most challenging crises of our lives, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to win big and bold investments in climate solutions, the care economy, housing, jobs, and justice.
During August recess, Congress is negotiating the next big infrastructure package, with trillions of dollars at stake. If our movement doesn’t act in this critical time, we could see major cuts to investments we’ve been fighting for for months. It’s time to push Congress to invest in the people and our survival!

Here’s what’s going on in the halls of power:
This year, Democrats in Congress have an opportunity to pass bold investment without being blocked by Republicans. They have to use a procedural tool called “budget reconciliation.”
Congressional Democrats have indicated the overall budget reconciliation package will be up to $3.5T of investment. But Mitch McConnell and corporate Democrats will take every chance they get to cut that back.
Now is the time to tell our members of Congress that:
1) We want to see them fight to invest every dollar, for the people – no cuts !
2) We need them to protect investments in climate solutions, care, housing, jobs, and justice.
We have a chance to create more jobs, update and expand essential infrastructure, and ensure everyone has access to basic services and necessities. But Congress will only act if they feel the pressure during August recess. That’s why we’re getting ready to turn out all across the country to demand they #SealTheDeal.
