Dear John,
I know about hungry kids. I was one of them.
Raised by a wonderful single mom, my siblings and I grew up in a loving home where we learned the values of virtue, respect, ambition, and hardwork.
Money was always tight. Rent and utilities ate up most of my mom’s income, which left little for food. Oodles of Noodles was a regular on our menu, which we spiced up with Old Bay seasoning to give them more flavor. |

I know firsthand what it means to face hunger and I know how getting enough healthy food to eat can be life-changing. Today, as federal advocacy manager for No Kid Hungry, I have the privilege of working to make sure kids like me everywhere have the food they need to grow, learn and thrive.
I’m so grateful to you and to all those who support our work. Your help matters for so many kids who might not have the support I was lucky enough to have.
You might not ever meet the kids whose lives you are enriching, but one thing I know is that those kids are real and you are helping to transform young lives.
Thank you for all you do for kids like me.
Sincerely,
|
