This week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report confirming what we already knew. Climate change is a crisis unequivocally driven by greenhouse gas emissions, and without intervention, the most extreme weather patterns will become more frequent and more severe.

The Green New Deal can alleviate the climate crisis by investing in clean energy, creating good-paying green jobs, and ensuring all working families have clean water and air. But corporate Democrats and the fossil fuel industry have tried to stop our movement towards a sustainable future.

Through thousands of dollars in campaign contributions and influential lobbying, the worst emitters of greenhouse gas have evaded accountability for the harm they’ve caused the planet. And now, their dirty dollars are backing the corporate Democrats who are obstructing the Green New Deal.
