This week at our Michigan State Board of Education meeting, we saw an amazing display of white privilege cloaked in absolute ignorance and a straight up denial of the truth and science. Tom McMillin, member of this board claimed that having school children wear masks is child abuse. In his neverending quest for clickbait headlines, he made this outrageous and categorically false claim that would put our most precious and most vulnerable population at risk, our kids.
