Friend,

Four years ago, hundreds of neo-Nazis marched through the streets of Charlottesville, VA, with tiki torches and confederate flags spewing racism, anti-Semitism, and hatred.

They caused public damage and even killed peaceful counter-protester Heather Heyer. Their "Unite the Right" riot was one of the most horrifying and violent displays of white nationalism in recent memory.

White nationalism is a threat to our democracy and the safety of our most marginalized citizens.

Anyone who partook in -- or makes excuses for -- Charlottesville, January 6, or any other display of hatred needs to be held accountable. I'm committed to working on that in Congress, but it's on all of us to come together to defeat white supremacy.

Let the anniversary of one of our darkest days serve as a call to action to root out hatred, so we can build a country where all can live and thrive. I'm asking you to reaffirm your commitment to protecting our democracy and standing up to white supremacy by signing on now >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Jason
