We're entering another surge of COVID-19 due to the Delta variant. Hospitals are again overwhelmed, especially in states where less people are vaccinated. And yet Republicans like Rand Paul are doing everything they can to downplay the pandemic, cast doubts on the COVID-19 vaccine, and deny protective measures like wearing masks.
Rand Paul recently took to Youtube to spread his lies, claiming, “Most of the masks you get over the counter don't work. They don't prevent infection. … Cloth masks don't work.”
So, to be clear, Rand Paul would rather see hundreds more Americans die than encourage them to take a simple life-saving measure like wearing a cloth mask in public.
Team, you know these are nothing more than right-wing conspiracy theories. And so does Youtube, which is why yesterday, they issued a week-long ban on the Senator from Kentucky. When Republicans spout their lies, we must hold them accountable.
We've got a plan to kick Rand Paul and his conspiracy theories out of Congress, but we can't do it alone. You helped us flip the Senate and the White House in 2020, and now we're hoping you'll team up with us to take on Rand Paul.
