Texas’ GOP leadership is doubling down on their threat to arrest the Democratic legislators currently blocking the passage of a racist voter suppression bill.
This morning 52 arrest warrants were signed. There is a long history of arresting voting rights advocates in this country. Using this barbaric practice should enrage us, but not surprise us. Today’s actions are not only representative of the Texas GOP, but the entire Republican Party and their ploy to dismantle voting rights.
