LAUSD is opening its doors for its first full semester of in-person learning since the start of the pandemic last year. Things won’t be back to the old normal, instead, schools will adopt new policies to make sure to keep our students and families safe and healthy.
Our high school students will receive continued College Access Virtual Education curriculum with more opportunities for in-classroom lessons. And Fulfillment Fund College Counselors will be able to greet their students in person to ensure that they are prepared to begin the college application process and feel supported through the continuing challenges posed by COVID.
While some college campuses were open in the spring, many students in our College Success program are returning to campus for the first time this fall. Fulfillment Fund College Advisors have been working diligently to ensure all of our students get the support and guidance they need for success. As students return to in-person learning, they will need extra support and guidance — and our team is ready!
As students move back into in-person learning, it is a time of significant transition. Fulfillment Fund has evolved and adapted to be responsive in real-time to the needs of our students so that we can build our programs back to better. We remain steadfast in our commitment to helping our students have the information, inspiration, and guidance they need to continue to work towards their college and career goals.

Return to School
Many students have not had in-person learning since March of 2020, so 'back to school' will be extra special. Fulfillment Fund staff will also be returning to support our students and partner schools for in-person services — something we have done virtually throughout the pandemic. Remembering Andrea Cockrum
Since April, the Fulfillment Fund community has been mourning the loss of our founding CEO, Andrea Deering Cockrum. This past month her family hosted a memorial to celebrate her life.
