Dear ,

This month we’re excited to announce Foregen will be moving forward in its pursuit of a comprehensive histological study of the foreskin. The last such study of this kind was was performed over 25 years ago in 1996 with the publication of Taylor, et al. With modern technology and a drive to go beyond what has ever been done in this space, we hope to gain insights that will not only change perceptions of circumcision and the foreskin, but provide Foregen with critical data necessary for the creation of fully functional, regenerated foreskins. We will provide more updates on this exciting project in the coming newsletters.

A question we often receive is what we can share about animal trials, and if we can publish data or results as we get them. While we would like to put more detailed information out there, it could risk our ability to ultimately publish the work in a peer-reviewed journal. For example, the journal Nature, which many of you may be familiar with, lists the following as their first criteria on the page for authors looking to publish:

“The criteria for publication of scientific papers (Articles) in Nature are that they:

  • report original scientific research (the main results and conclusions must not have been published or submitted elsewhere)”

This is the standard procedure in virtually every reputable scientific journal. As a result, we can’t share too many details when it comes to our results or conclusions, since it would jeopardize the future of process of submitting and publishing.

In other news Foregen also has another generous cryptocurrency donor to thank for their $5,000 donation in July, which helped put us over our $20,000 goal for the second time in row this year. Our thanks goes to them and every individual that has chosen to support Foregen with a recurring or one-time donation!

For July we had over 30 new people sign up as donors, which totaled over $500 in recurring donations - this along with other one-time donations Foregen reached $20,164 in total donations and met our monthly goal, bringing total donations in Foregen’s history to $790,954.

Best,
