Hey John — my team just alerted me to an article in the Washington Examiner where GOP officials told the conservative news platform that Rep. Ilhan Omar and I are on the top of their list to remove from our committees if Republicans take back the House majority next year. 

I’m proud of the work Democrats are doing this year, but the GOP feels so threatened by our progress that they’re willing to do whatever it takes if they flip the House red. 

We took unprecedented, but necessary action earlier this year to strip GQP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committees because of her past hateful and racist rhetoric — and based on how things have turned out, I know we made the right call.

But the GOP coming after Rep. Omar and me? Well, THAT is totally and entirely punitive. 

We can’t let the GOP take control of the House OR Senate in 2022 — and they’re already at an advantage because of redistricting. I know it will be tough, but John, it means we just have to fight that much harder.
