I wanted to provide you with an update and behind-the-scenes look at what’s been happening on the ground in North Carolina.

As you may have heard recently, our team is making a massive push right now to make NC the 16th state to pass the Convention of States Resolution.

Earlier this session, we secured passage in the NC House with a vote of 60-56, and now we need the Senate to take up COS for a vote before their legislative session ends in a matter of weeks.

John, we have reason to believe that the NC legislature will adjourn for the year in a matter of weeks, so time is of the essence.

That’s why right now is the time for action. Here’s an update on some key activities happening in the state:

* COS activists have sent 5.5K emails to their legislators by 3,399 constituents.
* We’ve made 14,800 phone calls to constituents that are COS supporters in target districts asking them to call their legislator directly.
* We’ve obtained and delivered over 12,000 new COS petitions since the start of this session, to add to the new total of 86,087 North Carolinians that have already signed the COS petition.
* Radio ads are running across the state on WEEB, WAAV, WPTI, WTTK, and WBT.
* Our block walking team is knocking on doors and asking constituents to call their legislators and ask them to support the COS resolution.
* Thousands of text messages have been sent to constituents in top target districts, acquiring more petition signers and activists — right where we need them most.
* Facebook ads have been placed in target districts.
