Next up, the budget deal. This week we got some exciting news — a major breakthrough on fighting climate change in the budget deal that’s next on our agenda.
Our budget will make the necessary investments to achieve 80% net-zero carbon emission electricity nationwide by 2030 — a doubling of clean electricity over the next decade.
Our new Clean Electricity Payment Program is exactly the kind of rapid, green energy transition that we need to save our planet from the climate crisis. But it’s going to be a tough fight getting it through the Senate, with not a single vote to spare.
