Subject: John, we're calling on Congress to uphold Roe v. Wade. Will you add your name?
Once again, a woman's right to choose is being threatened by GOP lawmakers.
With everything else our country is facing, a resurgence in COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant, overlapping climate disasters of heatwaves, droughts, and wildfires,
this is what the GOP decides to focus on --
continuing to wage a decades-long war against women's health.
This shouldn't be up for debate, John. A woman should be able to make their own decisions regarding their health care and their body
without government interference.
If you agree, join me in defending the right to a safe, legal abortion against renewed GOP attacks by signing our petition now >>
Sadly, this is nothing new, John. Republican lawmakers have been trying to undermine this landmark legislation since its inception.
And in some cases, they've succeeded.
The "heartbeat bill" recently signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott in Texas prohibits abortions as early as six weeks -- before some women know they are pregnant -- and emboldens
any private citizen to sue abortion providers and anyone even
affiliated with the procedure.
No one should ever be treated like a criminal in public court for pursuing a private medical procedure that affects their own health and wellbeing.
That's why Congress must protect a woman's right to choose and uphold the landmark Roe V. Wade decision. Will you join me by adding your name alongside mine?
Thank you.
