It’s been almost two months since Ras announced his campaign for Governor of Iowa, so we wanted to refresh your memory and share three key things you need to know about him:
Ras has represented the people of Iowa’s 62nd House District for five years, serving as the ranking member of the Education committee and founder and chair of the Legislative Black Caucus. Last year, he spearheaded the passage of the More Perfect Union Act to create police reform and work toward racial justice.
Ras doesn’t care about political parties or labels: he cares about doing good for the people of Iowa, bridging the divides, and bringing folks together to create an even better state we can all call home.
Ras is committed to being bold about the basics: getting our public schools back to #1 in the nation, investing in climate-resilient agriculture and infrastructure, and creating jobs that help families to stop worrying about the next paycheck and start planning for the next generation.
If that’s the kind of person you want to see become our next governor in 2022, we need your help now.
Pitch in $10 or more (our average online contribution is $38.80) to fuel our movement and keep Ras on the campaign trail across Iowa this year.
