Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.

Hi John

Did you see Christy’s message? The Biden administration’s announcement to retain the Trump-era Title 42 policy is inhumane. Period.

Some families are forced to make the impossible decision of sending their children into the U.S. alone. Many who try to work within the system will get placed into unjust “rocket dockets” – where they will be routinely denied due process. Many others won't even get that chance due to expedited removals.

Send a message to President Biden urging him to revoke this policy.

This is sad and angering, but we cannot look away.

Thank you for being a voice for kids,

Thousands of asylum-seeking families and children in the U.S. are being forcibly expelled and mistreated. Tell the Biden administration to keep its campaign promises and treat these families and kids with dignity and respect!

Hi John -

As the pandemic continues to disrupt our everyday lives, those that are hit the hardest are often the most vulnerable: asylum-seeking families and children. Unfortunately, the Biden administration’s recent policy threaten their rights and safety. It must do better.

On Monday, the Biden administration announced it would continue to keep a Trump-era policy – called Title 42 –  in place. This inhumane policy closes the U.S. border to people seeking refuge here.

The use of Title 42 has forced some families to make the unimaginable choice of sending their children alone into the U.S., resulting in unprecedented numbers of unaccompanied children seeking safety within our borders.

This decision ignores our proud history of being a safe-haven for the persecuted.

Sadly, this isn’t the only action that harms children recently enacted by the Biden administration. In recent weeks, it has also:

  • Announced the use of expedited removals to send families back to Mexico, often side-stepping legal protections.
  • Moved forward with “rocket dockets,” a rapid legal procedure that robs families of due process.

Both of these decisions by the administration will deny these families of their basic right to seek asylum. We must not trade a fair, safe, and humane process for an expedited one.

Please urge President Biden to stop these harmful practices!

I am saddened and shocked by these policy developments and with your help, we will continue to advocate tirelessly for all children.

Thank you for being a voice for kids,
