John,
Victory Institute’s Domestic Programs team just successfully executed our first in-person Candidate & Campaign Training (CCT) since the pandemic began – and it was great to be back. Our 26 LGBTQ attendees joined us in Boston to learn the ins-and-outs of running for office, including how to craft a campaign budget, make a successful fundraising ask and discuss LGBTQ issues and identities with voters.
Look at this great group:

We were so excited to train so many young people (65% of our trainees were millennials!), candidates of color (55% of attendees), and trans and non-binary leaders. Attendees also heard from Massachusetts state Senator Julian Cyr and New Hampshire state Representatives Gerri Cannon and Joshua Query, who spoke about their experiences as out candidates on the campaign trail.
But here’s where we need your help: trainings like these are powered by generous donors. Victory Institute is the ONLY organization that specifically trains LGBTQ leaders – and we’re unable to meet demand. Make your first donation to help us increase our online trainings and grow our in-person trainings! [[link removed]]
From all our attendees and I – thanks!

P.S. To ensure the safety of our participants, hosts and staff, we followed local COVID-19 guidelines and asked that attendees be vaccinated, wear masks and monitor their health status, as well as other safety measures.
