** New Orleanians deserve every opportunity.
------------------------------------------------------------

Since day one, affordable housing has been a top priority for Mayor Cantrell. She has always said that she wants to meet people where they are and help get them to where they want to be.

A wide variety of affordable housing initiatives under the Cantrell administration have helped many New Orleanians find stable, secure housing in the neighborhoods they call home.

You can help make sure these kinds of programs continue by donating today. ([link removed])

Mayor Cantrell's administration has:
* Provided over $5 million in Soft Second Down Payment Assistance, increased award to align with increased property costs, and served over 300 households since the beginning of the administration
* Awarded $26 million for multifamily developments totaling over 700 units
* Redeveloped Lake Forest Manor ($32 million redevelopment) to restore to original use (200-unit senior living facility)
* Put over 1,300 affordable housing units in development and under construction as of 2020
* Expanded tenants' rights in city-funded rentals
* Expanded shelters and rehabilitation for the homeless, including expansion of the Low Barrier Shelter and expansion and relocation of Ozanam Inn serve women and families, with over 300 additional shelter beds and supportive services in total
* Stood up and operated the first non-congregate homeless shelter operation in the state that has since been modeled throughout the country in partnership with the state and Unity of Greater New Orleans

Mayor Cantrell has also tightened regulations and increased enforcement when it comes to short term rentals and appointed a director of housing policy in the Mayor's Office. All of these changes will work together to create a better affordable housing environment here in New Orleans now and well into the future.

To help Mayor Cantrell continue to work towards keeping a roof over the head of every resident, donate to her re-election campaign today. ([link removed])
