Kansas Republicans continue to face backlash as they obstruct public participation in the 14 redistricting town halls scheduled across Kansas this week. Previous redistricting town halls were held over the course of four months to encourage public participation rather than diminish it. 

Yesterday, Republican Senator Rick Wilson revealed why the town hall schedule was so hastily thrown together, saying, “a lot of us have careers and activities and vacation.”

Republicans care more about their vacations than they do about listening to the concerns and needs of Kansans.
